CVS/pharmacy Enters the Fragrance Category New Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM)

Capitalizing on the fragrance category growth in the beauty industry, CVS/pharmacy announced today the limited release of Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM), an exclusive fragrance line for the spring season. Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM), which includes three prestige-quality fragrances, was developed by CVS/pharmacy exclusively for sale in CVS stores and will be available through June 2002.

Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM) is another step in CVS/pharmacy's strategy to maintain its leading position in the beauty category. One of the most prestigious fragrance collections to be presented in a drugstore setting, the scents in the Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM) line are inspired by the delicate hues of European fragrances and innovatively packaged in attractive, flower-like sprays. All scents are priced at $9.99 for one fluid ounce.

Each Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM) spray holds one fluid ounce of eau de parfum. Because eau de parfum contains more essential oils than an eau de toilette or cologne, Perennials by Essence of Beauty(TM) provides a fragrance of depth and length. The collection is akin to specialty store offerings in quality.
